Add Major Personality with Penthouse

I have never been more excited to announce that Penthouse lingerie has launched their brand new collection which has just been released in our Stag Shop stores on January 15th 2009. I love how these fun modern patterns (cupcakes, cherry print, heart tattoo, and leopard print) really bring these designs to life and display a lot of energy. It will be the perfect addition to my closet and will definitely add major personality! I especially love how you can spice up a simple outfit by adding one of these pieces and accompanying it with fun hair and dramatic make up. I am even more excited to share a brief description of each collection as well as my opinions and thoughts on them with you!

The Sexy Pet collection uses a classic lingerie color combination of red and black in a cherry print knit. I am a huge fan of the cherry prints, as they are youthful and bring a lot of playfulness both inside and outside of the bedroom. Something about the retro cherry pin up look with some seductive red lips really screams ‘Sexy’ to me. The design elements are flattering for a range of different sizes, which is another thing I really admire about the Penthouse brand. There’s nothing worse then going out lingerie shopping and finding a beautiful print and style you absolutely LOVE, only to find out it doesn’t fit your body shape. It really puts a damper on your shopping trip quite fast. A lot of the pieces are adjustable or have a stretch to them which is perfect to allow for the garment to hug your curves and unique figure, allowing for a one-of-a-kind silhouette you can be proud to show off!

The Sweet Pet collection is my favorite, perhaps it’s the inner girly-girl in me. The combination of girly and sexy is at its best in this collection. It combines the colors pink, sea-foam green and lavender tied together in kitschy cupcake print cotton. It features details such as bows, ruffles and ribbon ties. In keeping with the pin-up theme, this collection captures the “Cheesecake” type pinup that has come to represent the alluring side of the girl next door. The innocence of these pieces is I think, what captures its whole stereotypical appeal. What man doesn’t want to come home to his beautiful woman cooking up something for dinner in sexy lingerie? After all, food and sex seem to go hand and hand when it comes to the basic understanding of the male hormones and there’s certainly nothing wrong with a little role playing in the kitchen.

The Wild Pet group combines black wet look knit with a leopard print in a red, ivory and black color scheme. It naturally lets out a more edgy side of your personality appealing to more of a wild woman. Inspired by the Hollywood bad girl whose “bad” behavior delights the press and public. The garments within the group range from risqué bedroom wear to pieces that can be styles to wear out to the club. I think the combination of the wet look and leopard print is what makes this collection unique from the other ones.

The Naughty Pet collection has a palate in black, pink and red within a tattoo heart print knit. I admire how the designers combined the eye catching print with black denim to create a rock ’n’ roll collection. I can see this group being appealing to women of all ages, rock ‘n’ roll has never been out of style. The collection includes sexy separates and some pieces that are suited to wear as both lingerie and steamy street wear. Details like eyelets, lacing and handcuff charms are reminiscent of the aesthetic of the glam rockers of the decedent 80’s.

It is very beneficial for lingerie companies to accommodate the continuously growing trend of wearing lingerie out in public by creating pieces that are easily versatile. I even feel this line will appeal to more conservative women because it has really stepped away from the typical lingerie styles. The more common lingerie styles and colors (red, black and white) will always be popular and if you’re looking for a more reserved classic look then I would suggest sticking with that. We picked up this line because it is unique and it provides you with the option and risqué opportunity to step outside the box and add a little extra flavor to your wardrobe and your personality!
