Storeroticas Extra Special April Issue.

Not only is it my job to make sure I keep on top of what's going on in our industry, but personally, I love to stay informed about how everyone else in the business/retail world is doing. Something about the obligation of reading Storerotica articles is appealing...Although, haven't quite figured out what it is yet. It probably has something to do with how fabulous the articles are and how sexy the nature of this magazine is.

April's issue is exceptionally special! Do you know why? If you don't I'd suggest you get your hands on a copy before it's too late. April's issue features an exclusive interview with our VP of Sales and Marketing, Marcus Horea. Marcus answered all kinds of questions about Coquette International and also provided tips for others in the lingerie industry and explains just how important team work is.

When asked if the recession has impacted Coquette International Inc, Marcus confidently replied, "I think this industry can hold its own in the recession, since people always want to have a good time and feel good about themselves. This is a time where some of us will prosper, as sex seems to always sell." Wise words of wisdom indeed.

Storerotica was formed in October 2008, when TEEZE and ASB Magazine decided to combine their efforts into one magazine. The readers of Storerotica are owners and buyers of retail stores that carry intimate apparel and erotic products, as well as manufacturers and distributors for those products.

Coquette's Holiday Photoshoot

Happy Holidays!

Perhaps April is a tiny bit early to start wishing everyone a happy holiday, but you wouldn't think any time of the year was too early for that if you got to see what I saw yesterday!

Yesterday Chris, our fabulous Web Strategist, and I took a trip down to Mississauga, Ontario, where Coquette's photo shoot took place for the Holiday line. Surrounded by our three beautiful models: Brittany Lee, Claudie and Tia, we got the opportune chance to take exclusive behind the scenes pictures and video footage. The set was equipped with a stage, which I felt really enhanced the pictures and allowed for the best lighting. Like always, we prefer to keep the background elegant and simple with all of the attention focused on the lingerie piece & model.

As glamorous as it sounds, photo shoots are a lot of work! It involves a lot of hard work from our Graphics Department & Design Team as well as Catherine Horea, Senior VP of Coquette, Peter Horea, President of Coquette and Marcus Horea, VP of Sales & Marketing. Our spectacular Design Team organizes the lingerie pieces they have created as well as helps the models get dressed quickly and accessorized accordingly. The Graphics Department views the pictures right after each one has been taken and ensures the poses are perfect for the piece the model is displaying. Catherine, Peter and Marcus are there to make sure everything runs smoothly overall and the pictures turn out perfect! The big tasks such as set and background changes, are accomplished as a team- and our team at Coquette couldn't be stronger!

The photographer did an outstanding job with the pictures and provided an energetic, friendly and comfortable environment for the models and everyone else. He really showed a lot of passion and desire, which was evident in each shot he captured.

Im really excited for the launch of this Holiday catalog and especially to share it with you all! It seems to me that each and every year Coquette publishes their Holiday Catalog, the new one is always better than the last, and raises the bar higher for next year. Chris and I had a blast capturing all the backstage footage and interviewing our models.

30th Anniversary Special Guest

Coquette Welcomes Taya Parker to the Party.

Coquette lingerie is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and what better way to celebrate than at the International Lingerie Show (ILS). After all, lingerie is what Coquette is all about. Coquette's exclusive 30th anniversary party is being held tonight at Lucky Strike Lanes inside the RIO in Las Vegas. For those of you who don't know, Luck Strike Lanes is an upscale bowling alley with a club like atmosphere. It will be a huge hit, with a suspected 200 customers expected to be attending, which is the capacity of Lucky Strike. There will be a fabulous selection of fine Hors d'Oeuvres accompanied by wine, beer, and cocktails.

Our customers are the most significant reason for our success throughout the years, and it was extremely important for us that we bring them all together for a fun evening full of contests, events and entertainment.

Sounds fantastic right? Well, it just keeps getting better! Penthouse pet of the year 2009 and winner of the popular show the Rock of Love, Taya Parker, will be joining the fun and entertainment at Lucky Strike for Coquette's 30th anniversary party.

If that's not hot enough, shes also going to be signing autographs at Coquette's booth at the ILS on Tuesday April 22nd! Its obvious her pictures are incredibly stunning, but they don't do her justice when seeing her in person. If your problem is the opposite and you don’t have much of a booty- drop the skirt! I’m sure you’d still look cute in it, but a skirt is just going to make your butt look flatter. Thigh Conscious.


Get your pretty little legs in some sexy pantyhose! Not necessarily thigh highs, those will draw attention to your thighs. Go for a full fishnet or regular style crotch less (for added effect) pantyhose. The reason I suggest this, is that it smooth’s out any unwanted noticeable flaws and bumps in your thigh/butt area, and gives the skin a smooth feel and look. It will also suck in your inner thighs as well.

Arm Conscious.

If your arms are an issue, add a sexy pair of satin gloves to your lingerie outfit. It will take the focus off any bad areas. Along with the gloves, or just on it’s own, a fun feathery boa wrapped around you will also take attention away from your arms and give you that diva appearance that I always knew you had! If you accessorize with your lingerie piece, ear rings, necklace, bracelets ect… it will also focus attention else where.





Chest Conscious.

If you have an A cup chest, you might find it hard to believe that some women with a bigger sized chest can get self conscious of their boobs too! So, if you want an outfit to flatter a big chest, go for something without cups, but lots of adjustable support such as one of these corsets. You won’t have trouble with the cup size not fitting properly, and it gives you perfectly shaped cleavage and an hourglass figure.

Stomach Conscious.
Now, whether you’re slightly overweight, or just ‘think’ you are, you can instantly lose an inch or two by slipping into a corset! Although they look slightly difficult to squeeze into, once you adjust the ribbon or lacing in the back to fit your size, it’s easy to unclip on and off from there!

Well most of us know, and all too well, that years and time seem to fly by and leave us wondering where in the world it went. In the fashion industry, thirty years is something to be proud of when working hard to continue the ongoing success of one of the most thriving and well established businesses in this industry.

This year marks a huge mile stone for us at Coquette International Inc., as we are celebrating our 30th anniversary! You can’t be in the fashion industry and not celebrate in style! So here’s what we have planned for our fabulous and loyal customers…

We will be sending one of our customers and a guest to enjoy a blissful week long vacation among the warm tropical shores of Hawaii. To qualify for this unforgettable experience, you must place your order between April 20th and April 21st at Coquette’s booth at ILS inside the RIO. It is only applicable to North American buyers.
